
Kuban State Medical University (KSMU) was founded in 1920 as the medical faculty of a larger regional institute. It gained full university status in 2010 and is today one of southern Russia’s leading medical universities, known for its high-quality education and ISO‑certified management systems. The university includes 7 faculties and 66 departments, with nearly 624 faculty members, including leading researchers and international scholars.
KSMU offers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs—General Medicine (MBBS), Dentistry, Pediatrics, Pharmacy, Medical & Preventive Medicine, and advanced training. It provides modern infrastructure including simulation labs, research centres, an obstetric clinic, a dental clinic, and a Centre for Practical Skills aimed at real-world training without patient risk.
The university has trained over 35,000 medical professionals, with over 6,000 current students, of which 1,000+ are international, representing more than 47 countries. It was the first university in Russia to offer the MBBS program entirely in English, and hosts an Indian mess with dedicated South and North Indian cooks.
- Minimum 17 years old by 31 December of the admission year
- Completed 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English, with at least 50% in PCB (General), 40% for reserved categories
- NEET qualification is mandatory for Indian students
- Required documents include: Passport, academic transcripts, NEET scorecard (for Indians), medical fitness certificate (including HIV test), and passport-sized photos
